Here at Heart 2 Heart Natural Birth Center, we believe we are all fearfully and wonderfully made by God. We are honored and privileged to serve you during your family’s growth whether you are looking for a water birth, or free standing birth. We are NOT currently contracted with Florida Medicaid plans but we offer a discounted rate for those who qualify to have a baby in our natural birthing center. We are in network with BCBS, Florida Healthcare plans, Aetna, Cigna and United Health Care.

What Can I Expect From Your Free Consultation?
We will review your medical history, discuss your childbirth expectations, and see if you are a good candidate for a natural, out-of-hospital birth (either at home or in our center). During your consultation visit, if you are beyond seven weeks, we offer a free pregnancy ultrasound video as a gift!
Are You A State Licensed Facility?
Yes. Heart 2 Heart Birth Center is a State Licensed facility. This means that we adhere to state guidelines throughout your pregnancy, providing care to low-risk, healthy moms. If higher-risk issues are identified, we either consult with our backup physician, refer our patients for collaborative care with other local health professionals or, if necessary, transfer care to a higher-level medical team. What Kind Of Payment Plans Do You Offer?
Currently, Heart 2 Heart Birth Center offers self-payment plans for both insured and uninsured patients. We are in the network with MOST commercial plans (please call for details).As of May 2023, we are no longer accepting Florida Medicaid plans. Our fees are substantially less than self-pay hospital rates and are comparable to all home birth practice fees in our region.
Do You Have Covid-19 Birth Center Guidelines?
Yes. As we move through the Covid 19 pandemic timeline, we are all finding our “new normal.” Asymptomatic guests may remove their masks if they prefer. Partners are encouraged to come to visits. Prenatally, if a mom has had direct exposure or tested positive for Covid19, telehealth appointments will be arranged until the mom’s test is negative or all symptoms have stopped for two weeks. On a more personal note, most of our staff has opted to be vaccinated to protect others we are in contact with.Guests are still limited, but always have been, since your delivery room is standard bedroom size and childbirth is not a spectator sport. We are so sorry that we do not have room for extended family members to wait while a baby is being delivered. Family members are directed to remain at home until the mom is discharged or come for a short visit an hour or so after the baby has been born. Most moms can go home after 4 hours if they choose so that family members can see the baby very soon after birth.
